You actually think Trump tells the truth on his tax returns?

It is to laugh.

The most shocking thing I am expecting to learn, or rather have confirmed, is that Trump has his attorneys pretend to the government that he's on the verge of financial collapse at all times, in order to minimize how much he pays.

Not likely, but then he'll most likely be trying to get tax write
offs for business dealings or loans which will reveal who he owes money
to and what potential conflicts of interest they present.

Things that wouldn't necessarily be illegal in a business sense but very much
a conflict in a presidential sense.

I understand what you are referring to, and don't disagree with your reasoning up to a point, but the point where it falls down with Trump, is that he has already openly made deals with lots of Russians. His answer to concerns about conflict of interest, from even before the election, has been to declare the entire idea of conflict of interest, to be an artificial interference with his business goals.

That means that unless his returns actually include notations of actual bribes, quid pro quo understandings, and so on, they wont change the already accepted level of financial corruption that Trump and his friends operate at normally.

The tax returns will reveal Trump's involvement in money laundering.
It will look like he's a riverboat pirate

If you're more worried about Trump's tax returns than you are about govt wasting your hard earned money you might be a left winger. People should be more concerned with the status of their own cities, and about all the money pumped into the Clinton Foundation.

does that above statement really make any sense though?

why would you care who donated monies to the foundation then?

For one thing, she unlawfully accepted millions in campaign donations from foreign countries and also failed to disclose donations from several sources.

Here we have NY playing whataboutism again.

Reality here is that the media loves a Clinton scandal
and they'll always milk it for whatever they can.
It boosts ratings and increases sales.

The other reality here is they're only telling half the story.
They're hinting at conflicts of interest and tossing out innuendos
of quid quo pro.

Except the other half of the story is missing.

There wasn't any.
The state department confirmed that there was no policy changes
or reversals.
Algeria didn't get its status changed.
There were no "favors" resulting from donations to the Clinton foundation.

The WSJ article couldn't be read unless you have a subscription.
So either NY has a subscription or he was google mining for what he considers
a reliable source.

Meanwhile, we have Trump trying to lift oil sanctions from Russia with his
former EXON CEO Sec State. (Who had a deal he made with Russia halted because of those sanctions)
We Have Trump reopening a compound closed by Obama
We have Trump inviting Russian spies into the oval office where he
game them state secrets.

Clinton foundation ultimately complied with the audits requested.
Something Trump has yet to do.

First off, I Googled those two sources because WSJ is generally considered unbiased, and The Hill even leans slightly to the left.

You're the one claiming Russia "hacked the election." So you must have evidence of Russia flipping swing state votes like MI, WI, PA, OH, FL, etc. You've been screaming insults at anyone who has challenged your claims. And if the FBI had actual evidence, it likely would have been leaked by now.

The intelligence says there's a problem.
The evidence is being collected.

That's the part rightwing media want you to ignore.

You keep forgetting about the part where the intelligence community was
keeping an eye on known Russian spies when all the trump people started showing up.

They weren't just arbitrarily looking into trump or his people.

It's like when the cops are staking out a known drug dealer.
The people that start showing up become part of the investigation.
That's how it works.
That's when they went to a judge to get a warrant.
Judge won't issue a warrant without probable cause.

As far as the "hacking" goes, that's probably the other part
in this that the rightwing media want you to ignore.

They want you to focus on direct hacking but they want you
to ignore all the mounting evidence of Russian influence.

They don't have to directly hack the systems to directly
influence the outcome though the spreading of false information
which there's a ton of evidence for.

Considering all the paranoid fantasies and weird shit feeding frenzies
over the last 8 years, I think you've got it backwards on the "looney" part.

Sure, "Looney Left" rolls off the tongue real smooth but we're not the ones
that got duped into thinking Obama was going to invade Texas.
Or any number of other stupid shit rightwingers were absolutely convinced
was real.

and you have no worries about Trump having any type of business "partnerships" with Putin of any of his associates?
would Russia have any influence over Trump's policy making because of these partnerships??????.........

The money he invested in Russian hooker pee.

It's tax deductible if you do it on a business trip.
